RED LODGE, Mont. – The Manhattan Tigers entered Saturday’s semifinal matchup against Red Lodge unbeaten on the season and for good reason.

The Tigers dominated time of possession in the first half scoring on two of their three drives in the half.  The first drive of the game for Manhattan was capped off with a George Stenberg touchdown run, and their final drive of the half ended in a Landyn Benson touchdown catch on the final play of the second quarter.  The Rams scored their only touchdown of the game early in the second quarter, when Pierce Caton found Kougar Kappel for a three-yard touchdown.

Manhattan’s defense was the story of the second half, shutting out the Rams and forcing three Red Lodge turnovers.  The Tigers would score two more offensive touchdowns and a pick six late in the fourth quarter was the icing on the cake.

Manhattan will take their unbeaten record into the Class B State Championship Game against also unbeaten Malta on Saturday, November 23rd.
