1. This is why we need more police so they can actually follow up on phone theft stuff. The temptation to go vigilante and try to retrieve your own tracked phone is there but these cnuts will have weapons etc.

3. We need a real concerted police effort to target and reform the places these stolen items are sold, kill the market. Those high street pawn shops like cex must be a huge part of it.

6. A family member had a phone snatched and it ended up in China. She then got shit loads of messages trying to get her to remove the Apple lock. So it’s clearly not been broken (I think maybe some specialist labs can, but not widespread).

   Even with the Apple lock in place, currently the phones can still be stripped for parts – battery, screen etc.

   Apple have recently extended the Apple lock to parts. So now if you take the screen out and put it in a new phone, it’s also locked. But I think that only applies to the newer models.

   I think this will eventually filter through to the theft supply chain. Someone is buying these phones wholesale off the snatchers. If they end up almost worthless, it _should_ massively drop.

7. And watch when the courts hand out a pathetically short prison sentence of 16 months but where they only need to serve 40% of the time. Thugs commit these crimes because the consequences are so tame, sentencing in the UK is an absolute joke

10. Glad i didn’t click on it. Remember folks..if you’re in the UK and want to report a crime, don’t say the thieves took your phone. That will get fuck all response. Tell them they stole your Knife! Every cunt in a uniform within a thousand mile radius will be there in five seconds.
