BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. Azerbaijan is a
key strategic partner of Bulgaria in the South Caucasus and the
Black Sea region, said Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, Trend reports.
In an interview with Caspian Energy magazine, Radev spoke about
the deepening of bilateral relations, highlighting the intensive
political dialogues between the two countries in recent years.
The latest issue of the magazine focuses on the 29th session of
the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), taking place
in Azerbaijan.
Radev emphasized the importance of cooperation in strengthening
resilience by responding effectively to climate change. He also
noted the expansion of ties between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, citing
the Joint Declaration on Strengthening Strategic Partnership,
signed in May in Baku with President Ilham Aliyev, as a milestone
in the relationship.
Additionally, Radev described the opening of SOCAR’s office in
Sofia as a positive development and stressed the need to foster
connections between business communities, particularly in areas
like high-tech industries, drones, the automotive sector, and clean
technologies.
