Co-Main Event: Charles Oliveira defeats Michael Chandler by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-45)
More than three years after their initial encounter, Charles Oliveira dominated his second meeting with Michael Michael Chandler, securing a unanimous decision win in the UFC 309 co-main event.
In both the first and second round, Oliveira logged extended time on top after spilling Chandler to the canvas, working to dominant positions and chipping away at the returning contender. Chandler started the third landing a sharp jab, but it only spurred Oliveira on, as “Do Bronx” went on the attack, connecting with uppercuts and knees before taking the back and threatening with chokes.
