There will be a number of traffic restrictions and road closures in the city centre on Saturday for the Christmas light switch-on with the following roads closed between 4.30pm and 8.30pm
Royal Avenue from Rosemary Street to Castle Place, Donegall Place , High Street from Castle Junction to Cornmarket, Castle Lane, Callender Street and Castle Place.
Wellington Place, Donegall Square North and Donegall Square South will also be closed between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
If you plan to visit the city this weekend or if you have tickets for the Belfast Christmas Lights Switch-on please allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative travel options such as public transport or a park and ride site.
Note: they also recommend using alternative transport to attend the event (e.g. bus or rail) but be aware that bus services may experience disruption due to the road closure.
