This is an artistic interpretation of the topography of Switzerland. The image started as a topo map with a contour line every 200 meters in elevation. Then the bands between lines were replaced with 5 colors, that repeat as they move higher in elevation. This creates a new interpretation of the topography unlike the regular shaded relief maps or single gradient topo maps. This is meant to abstract the landscape into an artistic series of shapes and lines, presenting the contours of the country in a new way.
