Moi! I am an International student staying in Student apartment. My room's light is not working. Will it have a small bulb/light inside that i have to replace or do i have to replace whole set. I also don't know how to open it. I'm afraid to unscrew that white ring, fearing i might break it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kiitos paljon!

  1. It should probably twist open and have some standard bulb in it.

  2. Have you tried turning the transparent part, if there is an E27 bulb inside it should come off.

  3. Contact The maintenence. It is propably their responsibility, as it looks there is no replaceable bulb, rather than fixed LEDs. Or you can try to twist the lamp to see If it comes loose

  4. I had same problem, apparently they open so hard, you should contact your building maintenance to come and fix it

  5. Either the whole thing (white ring and the transparent bowl) comes off of just the bowl part. But if its a rental, I would probably call maintenance and ask them if they changed the whole thing or just the lamp. If it’s just the lamp you can ask for instructions and “permission” to do it yourself if you like

  6. Between clear bit and white ring there looks like to be a slot to fit screwdriver in. I would gently try and pry it open from the slot if it looks like it is going to open. But be gentle so you don’t break anything

  7. Just ask maintenance. It’s usually part of their job for cases like this for being part of student housing

  8. Twist or some models have a small dent between the parts which you pry open with a flat screwdriver or knife or whatever

  9. Please contact the maintenance, they will be happy to come fix it and save yourself the risk of needlessly breaking it by accident. 🙂
