  1. And that is why the change was made, to target people like Dyson who bought up farms.

  2. It’s not his farming empire that’s causing this IHT bill, it’s his huge wealth surely? Sure the farming land is part of that, but not the whole story.

  3. ‘oh no, my tax avoidance scheme!’ – hypocrite dyson, vacuum.

  4. It was my understanding that that was the point entirely

  5. Oh no, the poor Brexiteer who fucked off to Singapore immediately after backing Brexit..

Please someone think of his coin.

People like Dyson and Ratcliffe caused irreparable harm with their reach and audience on this. For anyone wondering about the latter, Ineos took the Grenadier production to France.

    Grifters.

  6. What do you guys think about a gift tax so people can’t just give away all their wealth 7 years before they die?

  7. Agricultural land became the go to investment to pass on and avoid inheritance tax. The grifters brought this on themselves. Blame lays firmly with them

  8. Got to say, his strawberries are really nice. The only better ones I have had were those I’ve grown myself.

  9. Works out to be about 8 vacuums , 3 bladeless fans and a hand drier.

No Biggie when you’re that much in the black from tax avoidance in the 1st place

  10. Billionaire angry his tax avoidance loophole has been closed.

  11. I’m disappointed ft used the term ” death duties”, this is normally a telegraph or mail trope. It’s why it’s called “inheritance” tax in the first place.

It’s a tax on the inheritor and the passing of assets to them. The person dying nor their partner don’t pay a penny.

  12. He’ll move his land to Singapore soon. JUST YOU WAIT !!!

  13. Person who has got fantastically rich off the hard work of others and taken every possible opportunity to avoid paying any tax will get caught by new tax designed to catch tax dodging cunts. More at eleven.

    Working as intended.

  14. Crazy that rich people see food like property “it can only go up” fucking late stage capitalism just destroying everything.

  15. Stop, please stop, schadenfreude will be the death of me or slipping on the words smallest violin.

  16. Absolutely love to see this fucking cunt get his commupance. Toxic scum.

  17. Ha – so is this, among others, who has been encouraging the criticism?

  18. Oh no billionaire that took his manufacturing and profits off shore has to pay some tax BOO HOO shut the fk up

  19. Good I hate the man . Never invented anything has an overblown reputation and an all round Sh*t to Great Britain .

Those little motors he uses have been round for decades and cost under £2 to make !

  20. Do I read right that the article says he’s worth 20 billion
Paying an extra £122 million on death is barely a rounding error on that. 0.6%

If you’re worth hundreds of millions or billions you don’t need your kids to inherit 80% of your estate. They can be set for life on a small fraction of it.

  21. This is why the Farmers protesting can fuck off. Only the millionaire farmers will be affected. All the rest are just brainwashed dumb fucks.

  22. I love how it words it as if it’s a bad thing.

Conveniently leaves out how his family will also be left with BILLIONS in assets in addition to this oh so terrible £120m bill.

  23. This is the same James Dyson that backed brexit and then fucked off to Singapore? Yeah, tax him to the hilt
