  1. I generally agree with the facts presented but the tone is far too smug considering the Economist only got on this obvious bandwagon far too late and even in this piece it’s spouting bullshit about EVs and heat pumps not helping carbon when installed in China’s grid.

    The key piece of bullshit is the bit at the start about how the environmentalists were all saying it would be expensive and not as clever as the journalist at The Economist who knows better.

    Except the environmentalist were going off the actual economics research which has said dealing with climate change is the cheaper option for decades now.

  2. What they mean is it will be much cheaper than most gullible among us who actually believe some of the lies fossil fuel companies spread in their propaganda campaigns think.
