  1. Not going to lie – didn’t have Mitch McConnell drawing the line in the sand on my bingo card.

  2. Mitch McConnell had 2 opportunities to impeach DJT. He avoided doing so. Now the USA is on the verge of losing democracy, to be replaced by dictatorship.

    Eventually falling in line because “we have to support our president because the people gave us an ultimatum”.

    Nobody is gonna do shit because they’re all spineless. They have agendas to further of their own and trump is just the wacko lackey that enables it to happen. Ergo the SCOTUS nominees, Fed Court judges, Roe and on and on and on. There will be 0 checks and balances, it’s by design.

  6. Mitch McConnell should retire. He’s responsible for blocking two attempts to impeach Donald Trump and end his presidential aspirations for good. Great job, Mitch.

  11. Turtle understands.  His entire legacy is building the Senate into a carefully crafted system of rules that give the minority party outsized power and keep the Senate as a powerful branch of government.  

    Trump is basically burning down everything Turtle did in his career in 10 weeks. 

    The confirmation of appointments was a powerful tool in Turtle’s box. It’s how he was able to hamstring Obama by starving departments of leadership and stockpiling judge appointments to hijack the courts.  It’s also an explicitly written constitutional power of the Senate…  for those still reading the Constitution.  

    Turtle fought hard in court to block recess appointments to the point they essentially don’t exist anymore.  That makes the senate leader hugely powerful because he controls the schedule and SCOTUS says it can be whenever the Senate wants.. or not at all.  Obama already lost in court to the stupid thing of having one person bang a gavel every day.  And MAGA wants the new Senate leader to throw it all in the fire??
