Great to see. You can see from some designs that certain council engineers are clearly afraid to put pedestrians, wheelchair users and cyclists ahead of cars.
Hopefully an office like this will ensure proper designs that can actually be used and will actually be used.
But elected representatives and NIMBYs probably won’t let that happen.
A positive development. Hopefully this will see a shift away from car dependency and towards more efficient and climate friendly transport modes.
It is ridiculous that they’re only doing this now.
Really hope this won’t hold back trains and trams.
