Good, I can understand the Westminster seat being nigh on useless but that doesn’t mean you can take the salary from there and do the msp job up here.
A flat holyrood wide ban is good for the country.
It’s also wild that the Tories brought the motion after 3 jobs Ross!
The past couple of years watching the SNP commit terrible political move after terrible political move have been quite amusing.
It’s the political equivalent of Sideshow Bob stepping on rake after rake.
I take it that the Tories are only supporting this now that Douglas Ross is no longer leader?
How badly could this go? Why doesn’t he just resign from being a MP and run for MSP? Did he really think he could get away with holding both jobs.
Have the Greens put out an official position on “no jobbing” yet?

Double jobbing just sounds like he’s taken a lot of senocot.

I’m sure The Baroness Clark of Kilwinning will happily support this motion
So the Lib Dems now hold both the key to the budget and to avoiding a bye election defeat for the SNP. Unless the moderate faction of the SNP are willing to accept that Flynn will not be eligible to run as FM after Swinney.
If the lib dems have any sense they will leverage both to force scotgov to adopt some of their manifesto to the detriment of the SNP.
The SNP have once again put themselves in a difficult position for no real reason- this would have been avoided entirely if they had clamped down on Flynn- citing cherry as the precedent or accepted that they might lose a bye-election as worth it to get talent into Holyrood. The spineless dithering has cost them the narrative and now they look like grifting hypocrites.
This is not the behavior of a serious party of governance.

Can I bring in motion to ban the word “double jobbing”? Dunno if it’s too much porn or something, but I don’t feel we should be using that word publicly…
