NATO expansion by any metric cannot be faithfully compared or contrasted to what Russia has done. Countries can elect to join NATIO. Ukraine is sovereign and if they want to join NATO its entirely up to them.
There can be a question over whether NATO should accept their membership and whether it’s “good” for relations with Russia, but if anyone is of the opinion that somehow NATO is equally responsible for the invasion of a sovereign nation by a right wing dictator then they need to have a serious look at what reality they’re living in.
The statement about women and children being the victims of war whilst men are not permitted to leave the country and die fighting is so obviously ridiculous that it barely seems worth commenting on.
