Hello everyone,
There are greenish spots directly behind the heater.
It is damp there because the window is leaking.
1) Is this mold?
2) How dangerous is it? Can you still sleep in the same room?
3) The property manager is insolvent, which is why everything is currently taking a long time. What can I do myself to bridge the gap? Incidentally, the heating doesn't work.
Thank you very much!

1. Yes, or at least its “Stock”, next step mold
2. You should not sleep in that room. That is just the start. Look behind closet etc.
3. if it was moist over a long time, it wont be easy. Google for “Stoßlüften”, heat up the air a lot more, warmer air can hold more moisture.
But please, check of your matrasse is moldy aswell
It is mold ! You should not sleep there.
If the heating is not working at all, you can lower the rent (after informing your landlord about the issue and giving them a time to fix it) .
Are you in a “Mieterschutzverein”, if not ,go there .
They will help you with the legal issues that might be coming.
You need to get the heating to work to stop more mold from growing.
Have you googled how to bleed a radiator? And sometimes the thermostat is stuck and just needs to be removed, a drop of oil added and screwed back on. These are two very simple things that you can do yourself to try and get that radiator to work.

Treat the mold with special Schimmelentferner from the Baumarkt (about 10 Euros). Environmentally friendly ones contain hydrogen peroxide, but they don’t work as well as those containing chlorine bleach.
Some people will tell you to use vinegar. But only some types of mold are killed by vinegar and the spores always survive. Bleach kills the spores.
