  1. It seems the telephone call didn’t go well with Putin.

    >A key feature of these UAVs is their advanced software, which helps them navigate the terrain using various markers, allowing them to reach their targets even in challenging weather or on “scorched earth” terrain, as well as in conditions of EW. Once the UAV identifies the target and the operator confirms it, the drone can autonomously strike the target even if communication is lost.

Russia had to start an unprovoked territory-acquisition war and open this AI/Pandora’s box. The aggressor bears the responsibility.

Apparently these are long distance kamikaze drones as well, so together with Biden’s announcement we are entering a new phase in the war.

  2. Little is known about these drones, they were developed by Helsing, a company that is called a “champion in the field of artificial intelligence” in the European media. At the same time, there is practically no information on their official website.

These UAVs don’t even have an official name, but they are positioned as a more powerful analogue of the Switchblade loitering missiles thanks to the integration of AI, which simplifies the search, guidance and destruction of ground targets.

  3. Autonomous loitering ammunition that can’t be disabled with EW or misrouted by GPS spoofing is both scary and the future of drone warfare. I also want to say, it’s worth following German Aid to Ukraine account that keeps an excellent record of monthly shipments. For all the wishy washy attitude before and still coming from Scholz, Germany has shaped up to be the most reliable arms supplier.

  4. Christ, articles like this is beyond bizarre.
    > These drones are compared to the Taurus missiles

So, they’re drones, but also somehow comparable to Germany’s top-tier supersonic cruise missiles? *How*, exactly? In the sense that both *fly*? And they’re supposedly producing 4,000 of these vague ‘drones’, *where*, exactly? Because there have been no reports of Helsing, a vague AI company, building any factories with these capabilities anywhere.

    > Source: European Pravda; Bild with reference to its sources and comments from Defence Minister Boris Pistorius, who has ***essentially*** confirmed the plans.

*Essentially*? Just as the German government is collapsing because the finance minister refused to let Scholz expand the budget for Ukraine, we’re somehow supposed to believe that Boris Pistorius has ‘essentially’ confirmed 4,000 new drones for Ukraine? Lol okay, sure.

Christ, just like the [800,000 non-existent shells from the Czech Republic](https://kyivindependent.com/czechia-can-deliver-hundreds-of-thousands-of-shells-to-ukraine-if-allies-contribute/) earlier this year, or the current farce about 10,000 North Korean soldiers at the Russo-Ukrainian front, this is just another bullshit fabrication. Whoever reads articles like this uncritically, please, get a grip on reality.
