He just stated that these nominees are not qualified to hold the position they were nominated for and that its up to the senate to make that determination. How the hell is that propaganda?

  21. This was playing on the TV when I was making dinner and it caught my attention. I didn’t realize it was 60 minutes at first, but good for them for finally saying shit that needs to be said.

    I was taught what propaganda is in elementary school. Either I was the only one who listened or they stopped teaching it.

  24. He’s literally just stating facts. If you’re upset about him stating facts, then you should be upset about the reality, not about the coverage. This is so mild and tame in terms of coverage it’s laughable that people would get upset about this and think it’s “propaganda.”

I thought it was a fair assessment, but I’m not at all surprised it’s ruffled feathers (even if my sense is that folks that might get upset by it *probably* don’t watch 60 Minutes). But who was it that insisted that facts don’t care about your feelings? 🤔

  29. The issue is apparent. Facts don’t matter. The screaming horde of MAGA won the election and they feel they have a mandate. To them it means they get to do whatever they want and don’t have to engage in any sort of negotiation to do it.

    They are mad that by presenting unvarnished facts, 60-min isn’t bending knee.

    They expected they won a war and it’s their country now. And they may have. Time will tell if Trump is able to distort the USA so far that it is not longer any real form of democracy or not.

    But, right now, they are big mad because they won and no one is treating them any differently.

    Then they didn’t bother to do a story, they just went on with their canned, pre-planned, dated story.

    One of the worst parts of the ongoing destabilization of the US has been the degradation in belief in journalism / free press, and the branding it as the enemy of the people. Democracy dies in darkness indeed.
