  2. As soon as homes become uninsurable, home ownership will become limited to only private investment groups and the top 5% able to buy homes in cash. If you think that this will only impact coastal homes, please speak to Asheville. Insurance prices are going to sky rocket nationally in the next 2 years, making it very difficult for people to buy new or even maintain their current mortgages. Not to mention that our economy is so dependent on the mortgage industry.
