As much as the Chips Act was a huge success and smart economic policy, I remain a little chuffed at how much money went to AZ, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio & Texas.
I question why such anti-American, anti-science states should be rewarded.
Instead, Trumpf will take full credit.

From a national defense perspective, it’s good for the US to be able to make SOTA chips on US soil.

Biden has made it absolutely impossible for trump to screw this up in any way, no matter what he tries, so long as trump stays within the bounds of law, historical precedent, and tradition.
If Trump thinks Chips was such a bad deal, why doesn’t someone ask him about the factory that was supposed to be built in WI?
Why the Republicans would rescind CHIPS while also claiming they want to bring back manufacturing tells me the only manufacturing they want is low skill, cheap, exploitable labor like in China. That’s what they want, not high end technology manufacturing.
Just the fact that a bipartisan piece of legislation aimed at strengthening American semiconductor production is under attack by Trump and MAGA just goes to show how they really don’t care about the US.
