Lmao 🤣 they won’t be the only London Borough facing 114 risks. Apocalypse is coming. Old people are getting older, medical science + a dilapidated NHS is keeping them alive for longer, that same tech + reclaisification + chronic social media addictions and smart phones are creating more kids with SEN needs that Councils have to support + rises in homelessness + a never ending wave of Imigrants believing its like Dick Wittington and London Streets are paved with Gold (and Councils are then getting eaten by predatory landlords and hoteliers who are just rinsing them). And what you want you road resurfaced and your Street Lights to work? Public Services are broke and have been for some time – 25/26 I would say you will see a record number of 114s. Everything up until now has had an underlying cause. From here on out I think you will start to see cases of there’s generally not enough to supply statutory required services. Futures bleak. Fuck the Tories.
Item 1: hire more consultants
If they weren’t all such a bunch of NIMBYs they might actually have some housing.
Housing the main factor again with temporary accommodation costs rising off the scale. Same story everywhere in London and beyond yet Government still won’t give sufficient funds to build new affordable homes. Some token gestures in the budget won’t go far as the article highlights. All that £233m (which is chicken feed in context of costs) will flow to hotels and B&B groups anyway and won’t be used to build new homes.
Labour like the Tories see that as preferable rather than allow councils to build en masse. Chained to the same failed ideology which gets worse year after year for 40 years now.
Another point is that council tax for the very wealthy is crazily low in the UK including London. People in £5m+ homes in places like Kensington should be paying far more than those in a 1 bed flat but difference is negligible.
Government won’t allow councils to increase council taxes for the ultra rich as is common across the world.
It’s funny how bozos on here pick out certain boroughs in London, and critique like it’s only happening there. Wake up. Most London boroughs are screwed.

Sounds like a job for a budget Czar…
