First stop is Assens, why is this town so beautiful? all this houses that look like a fairy tale.
I'm travelling with the car, so I can go everywhere, I have already travelled all Jutland, and I arrived today in Fyn, I already got recommendations for Odense. (I'm not going to Copenhagen)
where else should I go?? or just drive around and stop everywhere?
some pics from Essens:
PS: why I can't even find a bakery? or a place to have breakfast? 🙁

Over the bridge, like everyone else.
You should take a drive to Svendborg if you’re into old and fine architecture.
Bogense, Faaborg, Assens, Holstenhus, Skaarupøre Vingaard/aqua vitae
Welcome to Fyn! If your first stop is Assens I would recommend your next stop to be Egeskov Castle. Its a renaissance water castle with beautiful gardens and museums.
Faaborg is also really good to explore. It’s a beautiful coastal town, you could visit the Faaborg Museum, or take a ferry to the South Fyn Archipelago.
Go to Nyborg. The older part of the town, that runs in front of the castle.
Take a walk on the hills behind the castle, there you get a great view of the castle and old part of town.
Besides everything that has been mentioned already, Kerteminde. Especially the old part of town.
North Fyn has its good spots too. You can check out Langesø and the Castle on your way up to Enebærodde and Flyvesandet.
Bogense has a nice vibe also, very off the beaten path for Tourists.
I’d recommend you continue on to Jutland.
Going out for breakfast is not a Big thing in dk, but brunch is 💪
In Faaborg is a very good bakery and cafe ! Vesterports bageri ! Get the brunsviger
In faaborg where is Faaborg museum, øhavsmusset, klokketårnet og svanninge bakker and its a nice city overall.
Go grab coffee and something to eat at Grandts and go on a nice walk down at Jordbassinerne.
Also, see if you can spot the old cannon ball in the church tower left from the count’s feud for bonus points 🤓
Sadly, I’m about to head out the door in 30 minutes, otherwise I’d have given you a tour and history lesson. I’ll be back later though but you might have moved on by then.
home
Leave. It’s one big highway
Svanninge bakker
You should drive away
Svendborg 💙
How nice you made it to fyn. Then it’s not long before you’re in Copenhagen or Jutland depending on which direction you’re headed.
When visiting Svendborg, take the Ferry to Aero (Ærø)
Small island of about 5-6000 people. Very beautiful landscapes and old houses. Has its own dialect (and flag), if it’s not died out yet.
You usually dont stay at a speedbump
Faaborg and Svendborg are nice. Also recommend island hopping from Faaborg – you can ferry to Bjørnø (watch out for the bears!), Avarnakø, Lyø.. beautiful part of Denmark.
Follow the margorit rute, and you will see all Fyn has to offer 😊
You should take the ferry in Svendborg and go to Ærø. Ærøskøbing is a very nice little town. Enjoy your trip. 😉
Eat a brunch at Grandt’s kaffebar in the main street of Assens. Very delicious 😋😍
Drive to Helnæs, it is not that far from Assens.
There is a good bakery in assens, right by netto:) and go to helnæs, it’s a super beautiful island near assens. You also have to come explore Odense
If you have all day – HC Andersen Museum and also the Zoo in Odense is pretty good. – Egeskov castle is worth a visit.
Go to Otterup and visit hashmark beach. Or go to the local pizzeria and eat a number 8 with extra mozarella.
Back home is where you go. Sooner than later if not immedieatly
Ho from Assens to Svendborg, follow the water, you see so many beautiful places, i myself live 20 min from Assens – the way youre driving
Svendborg. Lovely picturesque town, and of a decent size to have many restaurants. It also has a lot of music venues.
So I saw that you listened to my advice and visited Himmelbjerget, if you liked that I have a few other suggestions (I live here):
Munkebo bakke, it may not be the highest point, but I definitely think it has one of the best panoramas on all of Fyn, it’s also not a well known place so you’ll probably be up there all alone, maybe with a local or two.
Not too far away you’ll find the town of Kerteminde, it has a few nice beaches, some nice old houses in the center and the harbor/marina.
Not too far from Kerteminde you’ll find the Ladby viking ship museum, it’s an old grave mound that has been opened up, they have also made a reconstruction of the ship (which is currently9 partly disassembled in a tent for winter). There’s also a small museum with period items and replicas.
Of course Odense is also worth a visit, my favorite parts are the old houses in the center but also all the parks along the river, you can take a stroll from Fruens Bøge all the way to the city center.
If you’re into nature, there’s also Fynshoved, but it’s probably windy and cold.
In the south you’ll also find Svanninge Bakker which are some rolling hills with forests and some nice views. There’s also a tower that you can go up in.
I also find Faaborg to be a really cute town.
And if you have the time, the drive over to and around the island of Helnæs, there are some really nice views along the way too.
At Hindsgavl near Middelfart you’ll find an open/free animal park which has a lot of deer.
Røjle klint is near Middelfart too and has some nice views of the strait.
Egeskov castle – https://egeskov.dk/en/
You should go to Middelfart or Nyborg. In either city you’ll find a bridge that will take you away from the island.
Nah jk, I hear that the southern coast of Fyn is wonderful, and if you’re into maritime activities, it should be a really nice area to go boating, cayaking, etc.
The drive to Helnæs is great along the coast. Not far from Assens.
Go to Vesterports Bageri (Backery) in Faaborg. Very good. Ask for Brunsviger if you wanna try a classic cake from Fyn.
Faaborg is also a very beautiful city. Take a walk through the streets.
