Is this gearing up for a rematch of The Battle of Trafalgar?
>British trawler Cornelis Gert Jan
Cornelis Gert Jan, a typical British name.
Rule Britannia!
Good, that’s what we pay them for.
This government is dead-set on stirring up conflict with the EU for some reason. I think this is all part of a Conservative party plot to drive as big a wedge as they are able between the UK and France. I hope nothing comes of this but I worry our leaders are too fanatical to be reasoned with, which I’m sure is how they’re hoping they’re perceived too.
Hon hon hon, and so it begins. The great battle of our time.
Does anyone actually know what the rules are, who is breaking them, and so on?
When Paris says they need to use the “language of force” what did they expect would happen? I have absolutely no idea who is in the right or wrong here, but that particular statement seemed like one that was made in an emotional state, not a rational one.

I’m sure we still have some exocet for those vessels if necessary 🤣
Edit : love those downvote haha how fragile you are 😄
Mainstream French politicians use worse rhetoric than ultra Brexiteers in the U.K.
Can both you guys maybe just shut the fuck up and so we can concentrate on bigger issues than who gets more mackerels? No? Okay.
Smells of upvotes shenanigans in here…
Btw how’s the weather in Cyprus SirKeir?
Send in the aircraft carriers
Shit who should i support, i have something for and against both!
Taïwan is overhyped, we can start it all here.
Ahhhh, people, everyone should relax a bit and understand it’s a two-way street. It’s a shit affair and I really hope it resolves soon without too much complications.
Are there tickets on sale for the upcoming naval battle between France and the UK? I’d like to reserve the best seats please. Merci!
I’m legitimately curious as to how this would play out. Obviously it won’t escalate to a war (hopefully), but if it did what happens? I can’t see the EU or US getting involved in any major way, and neither side has a big advantage over the other
if uk says that it follows the rules by the book then they are def not doing so
It’s almost as if that granny loving wanker in the Élysée has an election coming up and wants to paint himself as a modern day Napoleon.
New Idea, force all french and british fishermen to retire, forgive all debts relatés to their fishing boats and pay them minimum salary until they die of natural causes.
And of course hold an annual fishing contest between the citizens of the Channel Islands and Normandy
France is prepared to escalate this over 30 boats that were previously likely fishing illegally? Never underestimate the nationalistic pride of the French
This is just a rehearsal for a new series of Jeux sans Frontiers. The boats are actual inflatables. Its all been taken out of context. Hope at least one person knows the reference here.
This is glorious. Now we can do petty bullshit to each other all the time like the good old days.
