This is his 3rd arrest this year.
The 27-year-old son of the Norwegian crown princess, Mette-Marit, has been arrested on suspicion of rape, according to police.
Police said in a statement that Marius Borg Høiby, who was born from a relationship prior to Mette-Marit’s 2001 marriage to Crown Prince Haakon, the heir apparent to the Norwegian throne, was arrested on Monday evening.
He was suspected of violating the criminal code “which concerns sexual intercourse with someone who is unconscious or for other reasons unable to resist the act”, the statement said.
“What police can say about the rape is that it concerns a sexual act without intercourse. The victim is said to have been unable to resist the act,” police said.

Se og Hor's reporting added that he was driving the car although he lost his license and was charged with that on the spot in addition to what the planned arrest was for.

Despicable. There’s no coming back from this, nor for Mette Marit if she tries to cover for him again.
So much for “rehab”.
It’s so terrible. For the royal family this seems to be impossible to recover from. Haakon and MM seems to have a strong marriage, but the only possible option for the king-to-be is to get a divorce and thereby distance himself from his stepson. But I don’t think that will happen. If Marius is declared guilty and sent to jail, the Norwegians will have to decide if they can accept af king with a (step)son in prison.

Borg Høiby was detained on 4 August after a night-time incident at a woman’s apartment in Oslo and accused of causing bodily harm to the resident, with whom he was having a relationship, police said.
Norwegian media reports said police found a knife stuck into one of the walls of the woman’s bedroom at the time. He was arrested again in September for allegedly violating a restraining order.

In addition to the rape arrest, they have added another 3 violations: driving despite his driver’s licence being taken away, violating the restraining order from one of his earlier victims, and while he was previously accused of bodily harm of one ex, they have now upped it to physical abuse.
I absolutely don’t want to victim blame, but it’s so terrible for the girl that she can’t seem to cut Marius off, and still has contact with him. Speculation of course, but makes me wonder about how much of a support system she has.
This guy should be behind bars. And it should be thoroughly investigated if and to what extent his family has enabled him or used their vast resources to let him get away with his criminal behavior.
It’s time for accountability.
I wonder how he ended up so evil with no thought to protecting his mother’s status which gives him so much privilege in life too.
I hope he rots in his cell. What a pathetic excuse for a human being.
