Cork man, Caoimhin Kelleher, has just scored in a penalty shootout and won the Carabao cup for Liverpool. He’s been immense throughout the tournament.

  1. First Irish player to win a trophy in England in how long? The last one must be O Shea or something? Did Hunt win that time with Wigan?

  2. He really needs a move to be a first choice GK, so he can get first choice in Ireland – no use being given about 10 games a season – Baznu’s ahead of him

  3. He let in 10 penalties in a row

Still, great to see an irish man lift a trophy, but he needs to move to one of the lower table Premier league clubs to get more game time if he can

  4. The lad is a quality keeper. He’s young and still learning. He’s at a club with arguably the world’s best goalkeeper.

I’d love him to stay at Liverpool and hopefully become no.1 but realistically I think for him to progress is at another club.

It will be interesting to see if clubs will consider him now. The final today is massive exposure for him.

He could be a starter for most premier League clubs.

IMO Newcastle would be a possibility with the squad they are building. Could be a number of other clubs too, who knows.

Whatever he does, he’s a quality player and done Ireland proud.

  5. Fair play to him and all that but as a United fan I can’t accept them deserving to win a trophy. I hope he has a miserable career

  6. How many tomes has he played for Ireland? Christ we are set now and thats the most important place to start to build the spine of a team. As an Arsenal fan that is just now coming together with Ramsdale in goal and Gabriel and White at CB.. If Arenal can go places so can Ireland.. COYG/COYBIG
