  1. For some reason that doesn’t link to the actual judgement document.

    > The collective effect of the conclusions set out during this judgment is that the claim brought by Good Law Project fails in its entirety.

    > The claim by the Runnymede Trust fails on Grounds 1 and 3; it succeeds on Ground 2 only to the extent that the decisions on the process to be used when appointing to the positions of Interim Chair of NIHP in August 2020, and Director of Testing at NHSTT in September 2020 were made without compliance with the public sector equality duty.

EDIT to add the post title is “Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock were unlawful” however

    > On behalf of the Defendants, it is first submitted that no remedy should be granted as against the first Defendant, the Prime Minister, since it is clear on the facts as found by this Court that he played no part in the two appointments which are under consideration: the appointments of Baroness Harding in August 2020 and Mr Coupe in September 2020.

  2. All the claims except one were found to be nonsense, the one found to be true? At the start of a pandemic they didn’t take fully into account diversity rules (and that one wasn’t brought forward by ‘the good law project’)

  3. Firstly, the headline is simply factually untrue and the GLP should withdraw it.

Secondly, the broader reality is that they lost, and lost so hard it could seriously impact future cases they want to bring.

All their claims were rejected, including the “cronyism” claim.

Another organisation succeeded on one claim only, that diversity was not properly considered during the recruitment process, that’s it. Hardly the killer blow the GLP is making it out to be today.

  4. And? what the fuck they gonna do? arrest them?

    Good luck with that one.

Why they even bother investigating this shit anymore is beyond me. These cunts could go on live TV, call the entire populace of the country drooling morons, and people would still clap and vote for them.

  5. I commit a crime and I’m labelled a criminal. A Tory commits a crime and they’re labelled ‘unlawful’.

    Fuck off.

  6. This headline is misinformation. The process by which the appointments were made was found to not comply with equality rules.
