>Belgrade voted in favour of the UN resolution condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine at an emergency session on Wednesday.
>‘Yes’ to the resolution came from 141 countries; five voted against, and 35 abstained.
Who were the five? Russia, Belarus, and who?
Ukraine opposed the bombings in the 90’s, we have good relations and we’ve condemned the invasion just haven’t joined sanctions. Plus everyone knows our stance on separatism. This shouldn’t be a surprise. Anyone who equates Serbia’s situation with Belarus is talking out of their ass
edit: And right now I’m watching BBC (23:20, GMT+1), the reporter says “even Russia’s allies such as China and Serbia voted to abstain”. Fuck you lady, you had one job.
But still without sanctions continuing to sit on two chairs…
Pleasant surprise

Thanks Serbia
Serbia did condemn the attack five days ago, just didn’t go with the sanctions because of election that are coming (and also doesn’t have much sense for our weak economy to be honest). Vučić doesn’t want to lose pro-russian voters votes, because everything that guy does just goes is by the polls. That’s why he’s always trying to be neutral and keep status quo. He will probably impose sanctions after elections, but hopefully this fucking war will end by then. Too many people are suffering.
Btw, some examples how Vučić’s decisions work: something close to same sex marriage and weed decriminalization were close to be voted in the parliament, but then he didn’t want to get old people riled up. So it was called off. On the other side, some ecology threatening projects were called off (at least until elections) because we had massive protests in Serbia and we blocked all major roads and international highway and he figured he doesn’t want to get so many people angry.
We can just dream that he will be relict of the past after the elections, although chances are very slim.
Lol how is this a surprise? This is literally what Serbian users tried to tell you a few days ago, but guess you guys were too busy calling for our isolation.
thanks
C’mon, Putin.
“The world does not understand my actions in Ukraine, but to preserve good relations and secure the safety of the world, the Russian troops will return to Russia and our conversations will continue at the peace negotiations.”
Putin, go ahead and save face but make your children proud.

Serbian stance practically from the beginning was that it condemns war and supports territorial integrity of Ukraine, yet won’t introduce sanctions to Russia.
Can’t wait to see how r/europe spins this against us, lemme grab my popcorn
This is diplomatic move from our president because of money from west. Still we didnt impose sanctions against Russia and our media support Russia
Good
I love how everyone is making a shocked Pikachu face when we officially condemned them ***five days ago or more*** . Hell some here who are guilty of spewing vile xenophobic shit against us and even yelling how we should get cut from the EU acting like they are PhDs in international law are now saying “good job Serbia”. We have been for 5 days shat on. Hell I was harrased by some on twitter (it was linked on my Reddit) and on my twitch channel I got a hate raid offline trying to get me banned (thankfully I saw it bc was tweeking stuff and managed to report it) ever since the Reuters post was made and made a comment. Like I get it y’all don’t like us plus there is a war going on but fucking hell that doesn’t give y’all the right to just spew vile stuff to the point you make our nationalists look like babies.
Fair move.
it‘s like we were defending ourselves on reddit from all of the europe insulting us how we still support russia and all that.. even if explained it thousand times now it‘s official
I love how the hate of Russians continues to spill on like 6-7M Serbs … The same Serbs every single western country has bombed and did the same terrible acts to their country as Russia is doing now to Ukraine.
What is an *official source* for who voted in favour and against?

Here’s the map of the vote:

Yet this shit had thousands of upvotes yesterday, equating us with Belarus:

And I had the chance to read the most vile comments about my country here:

What is an *official source* for who voted in favour and against?
For those that want to see a table, it’s here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleventh_emergency_special_session_of_the_United_Nations_General_Assembly#Voting_2
But I want to know if there is any official source with a similar table.
