VAN HORN, Texas (TNND) — Blue Origin will launch its ninth human flight from Texas on Friday.
The rocket company founded by Jeff Bezos in 2000 announced flight NS-28 will launch from Launch Site One in West Texas at 10:30 a.m. ET.
Six people will be onboard the flight including Emily Calandrelli, Sharon Hagle, Marc Hagle, Austin Litteral, James (J.D.) Russell, and Henry (Hank) Wolfond. It will be the second flight for Sharon and Marc Hagle.
The mission will be to fly above the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space, experience weightlessness for several minutes and then return to Earth.
The first human flight for Blue Origin happened in 2021 with Bezos, his brother, an 82-year-old female aviation pioneer and a $28 million auction winner on board.
