Investments in Meta..

  1. Surprised they also didn’t mention NFTs.

Seems like they picked the most hyped buzzwords in use and threw them in their manifest

  2. So tired of hearing normies talk about avatars in the metaverse like we haven’t had online gaming for the past 20 years.

  3. It’s clear they don’t understand tech, look at “the blockchain island”, but yet they want to invest millions into it. Now how smart is it to invest something that you don’t really understand properly?

    Another few things to consider:
    1) Power supply issues in Summer? Don’t they remember the blackouts that take place? The reliance on Sicily?

    2) It’s not like the EU parliament will allow Meta to do what they want. Meta’s product and service will be regulated, maybe heavily when it comes to monetization and exploitation of personal data for ad revenue.

  4. In agreement with everyone else`s comments and i acknowledge the title of this thread IS in fact … ‘investments in Meta’…. however i think this is the least of our problems

  5. Huh! Interesting idea to invest in Meta. Especially since last thing I’ve heard they might leave from the EU market because of the privacy laws. Or did that change?

  6. Considering that Meta very fast becomes the “coolest” way to launder money and Malta in the (not so distant past) had issues with EU because of money laundering allegations, I am not sure how smart (politically) it is for Malta to jump on Meta bandwagon.

  7. ITT: people who don’t know the difference between Meta and Metaverse.

Meta did not lose half of its value because of its investments in the metaverse. They recorded a drop in users for the first time ever.

The PN did not propose investing in Meta, but in the Metaverse. Not that that’s any better.
