Honestly, I expected this to be how he was booted out because of his Hamas support but then the Greens pulled out the old uno reverse card on me.
Totally missed their call to have the cunts removed from the terror list. Bams
What exactly is the Greens position on Hamas ?
The greens did call for Hamas to be removed from the designation of a terrorist organisation, but that appears to have been in 2015, rather than recently.
They also apparently passed a motion in 2015 where:
“The approved motion states that Israel was created through “colonisation and ethnic cleansing”, turning what was once “a safe home for many Jews who survived the Nazi holocaust” into a state which claims to be “the home of all Jews in which non Jews have inferior rights (which) constitutes apartheid and is unacceptable”.”
A safe home for Jews who survived the Nazi Holocaust ? Really ? Ignoring the decades of religious riots and massacres from both sides in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s ?
Scottish greens once again showing why they are unelectable.
The only party in Scotland that will expel members for **not** supporting a terrorist group.
Absolutely mad that the snp let them into government and are willing to again.
Green hierarchy are watermelons. I love Patrick Harvey and Lorna Slater’s great too if not a gifted speaker, but the internal hierarchy are all water melons.
Edit: Patrick Stuart lol, what am I smoking today.
I would’ve thought they’d support Palestine not a genocidal colonial occupation force/regime
Do the Greens know they can support the sovereignty of Palestine without simping for religious groups that have awful records on human rights?
The world is crazy with the western kids marching for Hamas. And when I saw “Queers for Palestine” I was absolutely gobsmacked. Whats next, Cows for McDonalds?
This is the kind of shit that the greens need to bin and refocus on other issues.
Send him out to live in the refugee camps for a few weeks. Let’s see how he feels then.
>The Scottish Greens have called for Hamas to be removed from the list of terrorist organizations, which appears to be at the center of the disagreement.
This isn’t true, surely?
So he was kicked out of The Greens for being right? Oh for fuck’s sake…
He’s kicked out for being a Zionist genocide supporter and frankly pissing everyone off by being an absolute arse.

Excuse me, but what the actual fuck?
But they are a terror group.
So, afaik, the rationale is that because Hamas are the official administration of Gaza, they should be classed as “state actors” and therefore not classed as a terrorist group. Despite the fact that they do terrorist acts.
Other states, such as Israel, but also many many many others, also do terrorist things, but are not classed as terrorist groups because that brings with it a whole host of rules about how to engage with them.
Whether we like it or not, Hamas are the government of Gaza, and if you believe (like the SGP) that Gaza should be subject to negotiation and diplomacy, etc, then you need to reclassify them.
Hope that helps.

Supporting Hamas is not supporting the Palestinian people. Their laws and rights amongst minorities and women, their tunnels for weapons, their lack of any solider uniform or identification, and the very clear fact they operate in populated areas without protecting the people that they supposedly serve.
Palestine deserves to have its own state, with confirmed and fairer borders next to Israel, with a government that allows them to vote and cast elections. 2ss without Hamas, but unfortunately, I do not foresee this with Netanyahu and his Lukid cronies. They need to gtf also.
can all these scottish MPs focus on the dismal state OUR OWN PEOPLE AND COUNTRY.
Scottish Greens are a bunch of genuine fucking headcases who should be absolutely nowhere near any levers of power.
They aren’t even at the level of student politics, an actual fucking embarrassment to this country.
Well that was certainly a twist.
Based Green councilor.
Greens proving once again what clowns they are.
Aye I gave them the benefit of the doubt in the last Scottish Election and gave them my “list” vote as they had some sensible proposals.
Instantly regretted it when they put the kibosh on the A96 dualling upgrade works. Then they just got progressively more and more mental.
I’ll be surprised if they pick up a single seat in the next election up here, they were an unmitigated disaster in coalition with the SNP.
