I am new in Germany living in a small city in Brandenburg near Berlin, and I bought my car 2 months ago and have been parking on the street next to my building with no issues. Just today I found that some neighbor left this note on my car even though I am not parking in a driveway whatsoever, I doubled check again and it's just a normal sidewalk next to where I parked, no driveway no signs no nothing. None of the cars next to me had this note.
Is it just a silly prank? Or should I be careful that someone is trying to make pay a fine? Should I take any evidences or proofs that I was parking legally?
I just changed my parking spot just to be safe.
I would appreciate any advice as I am new here and a bit confused.

  1. Is there a lowered sidewalk?

    But perhaps someone parked wrong in the street, saw this paper and put it somewhere else.

    If you deliver a photo, the situation can be assessed a bit better.

  3. Try to find evidence that your parking legally and if your car is taken away go to your local policestation
