  1. We have already changed the name of Christiania to Oslo, so feel free, no hard feelings. The name was changed back because it was considered improper to have the city named after a Danish king after Norway got independent.

  2. Hey, it’s y’all’s street – and while Christian Qvart was a decent king (for being a dane :P) I’ve not quite forgiven him for forcefully renaming Oslo in his own name after the big fire in 1624… so feel free. Actually, I insist that you go ahead with the idea.

    Hmmm…

    May I humbly suggest Putineretrøvhulgade?

  3. You could name a street Oslogade if you want to honor Oslo. Preferably a street that doesn’t have the Russian embassy in it.

We don’t care for the name Kristiania, feel free to change the name of that street.

  4. The russians are just trying to stirr up sht, I really don’t think any Norwegian is gonna care. After all, we were quick to rename Christiania ourselves

  5. Vi elsker dansker. Vårt broderland.

Gjør hva faen dere vil med gatene deres, all good!

  6. I guess the person who wrote that tweet overslept 20 minutes when they had that lesson on Scandinavian history, hence doesn’t know where the name Kristinia comes from. So go right ahead and change the name of that street, but it would be a bit odd if you change the name of the Christiania neighborhood accordingly.

  7. Until today I didn’t even know the street existed. It is your street. Do with it as you like. It is a big plus if it annoys that angry git in the east.
