  1. Incredible and very hopeful for the environment but surely should not mean a licence to continue producing as much plastic rubbish as we humanly can.

    We must ask if endless production is beneficial and healthy for humanity or merely for financial gain, furthering inequality.

  2. It just mean less to little increase. Don’t get me wrong, this is good. But…

    The microplastics we have now are here to stay. Just like all the lead and mercury we dump into the environment over the last 100 years. It did not just magically go away.

  3. So we’ll have to put *all* the plastic in the ocean to make it degrade?
