Hi guys,
I got this medium size metal trash can a while back, and I wanna throw it away.
I recently moved here so I'm not sure how, should I just leave it out to be collected? Or call someone?

Thanks!

  1. Take it to your local recycling centre, or if it’s still usable, list it for free on Facebook or freecycle.

  2. Swinging it by one of the handles should do the trick. Or if you prefer, lift it with both hands and raise it up to chest height before pushing it high and away from your body. If you bend your knees and push with your legs at the same time it will go further away.

  3. As long as it’s in good shape, put it up for free on a donation group. Someone will come pick it up in the next few days for certain. If it’s metal, someone might pick it up even if in not so good shape.

  4. Look up special collections Belfast City Council on google and you’ll get their number. They will take your address and a description of the item before arranging to collect it for you.

  5. Crush it, like a real man, and then put in in your recycling bin.

    Job done.

  6. Literally got rid of the same one. Go to the dump and they’ll direct you to the scrap metal skip.

  7. I heard a great name ‘Binfluencer’. That neighbour who knows which bin is being collected each week and puts theirs out first.

  8. I had the same one from ikea, stand on it and take it to the tip

  9. list it on FB Marketplace as a limited edition Lambeg! some loyalist thicko will buy it!!

  10. Well first of all, bend your knees. A firm grip with each hand, and lift with your thighs. Now you will want to jerk it, this movement will involve a lot of core strength. Hold. Choose your target, carefully. And then you just give it all you have left in the tank and hit that sonofabitch. These four key phases blend into one another and it is crucial to understand the fluidity of the situation prior to your involvement.

  11. Get a bigger trash can of course. Don’t be a fool sir
