Sweden to finance Ukrainian long-range drones production based on ”Danish model”

1. Makes sense. They can get better results by investing in Ukraine’s military industries rather than producing weapons and sending them to Ukraine. It also secures Ukraine in the future as it is quite clear that Russia lost it’s opportunity to take Kiev so Ukraine will remain a independent sovereign state. Even if the war becomes a frozen conflict with Russia taking Donbass it would make sure that Russia cannot rearm and come again to take the rest.

2. “channelling funds into Ukraine’s defence industrial base”
   I don’t really understand this – so this is funds being granted to Ukraine for their own purchase of weapons or is Sweden/Denmark aiding in that? Or are they talking about Ukrainian production?

   I’m guessing the latter but I wonder why specify for drone production vs just into their war chest.
