  27. I just don’t understand what motivates Russia/Putin to carry on this war. What is their endgame? What do they want the world to look like if they prevail? How will it improve the lives of Russians in material ways? How will it improve the world? ELI5 please.

Surprising to no one, terrorist organizations have no morals and will literally fight for anyone that gives them cash. Next time a ship is targeted, the military should be allowed to wipe the coast with their blood.
