Over the past few years I have learned that russians do not slow down or stop because a person is on the road.
TBH.. the driver might have thought it was an ambush. Might have spotted both the man and the camera man and got spooked. I guess if your main focus is to get from A to B without getting smoked, your tolerance for the unexpected is ultra low. Standing in front of a car is basically forcing a stop. Who knows showing compassion or being helpful might lead to your brains getting blown out.
