We started with snow and now have flooding, what’s next? Hurricanes?
Councils decided to not do the storm drain clearing again?
Maybe instead of leaving the valley tops bear of trees was a stupid idea?
That’s my photo from Mill Street…
oh dear…It’s horrible
A bridge they have been repairing in Abercynon, the old feeder bridge has been completely washed away.
Monmouth is quite flooded as well.
The forecast predicted heavy rain but I don’t remember any warnings to predict this.
It can’t all be down to blocked drains in Ponty, rivers in Caerphilly are bursting their banks.
I don’t know what the solution is but someone needs to come up with one for these weather warnings, because a yellow warning for rain (which in my experience has almost always amounted to rain being a bit heavier than usual) was clearly not fit for purpose here.
