  3. Could shit on Turkey for multiple reasons but I do respect that they take no shit from ruzzians. Fuck around and find around, cause and effect in action. The 8th strongest army in the world should take no shit from anyone. Imagine if a Chinese military aircraft would fly around above California, what would the USA do.

  9. If a NATO fighter flew into Russian or Chinese airspace a little the Russian and Chinese would shoot it down immidiatelly without any consideration. But we let them to fly in and out in our airspace without consequences.

  10. then what? turkey only faced double standarded policies of the us and the eu although all of their previous pro west policies. now they apply more balanced policies than pro western policies and discussing about joining to the brics. the eu should had better diplomatic relations with turkey to manage the immigration crisis together and for having an influential impact in the middle east. now they have to follow everything the us does because they are not strong enough to manage the crisis in the middle east without each other. A bigger war in the middle east will cause even more fucked up situation for the eu and turkey at the same time.

  11. Turkiye was left alone by his companions afterwards. In Syria and Libya, Turkey fought against the Russians while for ex France and Germany was supporting the Russian side in Libya. Russians bombed a Turkish military base in Syria and Turkey lost 30+ soldiers in response to those acts. And of course it’s left alone again by US and EU. This is not a lie – you can hate Turkey or Turks, I don’t care. But if you have NATO then you have to act together. At the end just yesterday or days ago, the minister of foreign affairs told that Turkey almost lost his confidence in the US partnership. So let’s see what the future will bring.

  20. If I remember correctly it was shot down after warning them earlier that jets would shot down if they continue violating the airspace. They were perceived as empty threats until they actually did it.

  23. And people blame Turkey for playing both sides. I clearly remember Turkey left alone after this happened. No need to talk about France was supporting pro-russian government in Libya while Turkey was fighting with them.

    During WW1, Russians invaded Ottoman capital Istanbul. Turkey is one of the countries who has long war history with Russia.

    It’s all hypocrisy. If I ask, you all hate Erdogan. But the parties you vote, they love Erdogan, because he is keeping all refugees in Turkey.

  26. That is a modernized 70’s ‘untouchable’ MIG29, made to be superior to western tech in any way, no? I guess its good to show Putin more often that his ‘scouting’/intimidation missions can expect a strong response. We usually know planes are about to enter our airspace way before they cross over but we love appeasement. A strongly worded message (which is all we do) with a fair/communicated timer before the overruling of our automated air defense systems is canceled and the plane is helped out of the sky by our systems seems to be the only form of communication the little dictator listens to and I’m all for it. Also Russian warships and maybe subs in (semi) national waters should get the same treatment. Fuck me, if anything, Russia is just testing the water and we can provide test results free or charge. It used to be the unwritten rule that your army/navy entering foreign territory without being pre-approved was a declaration of war, now its just pp measuring contests under the excuse of “we didn’t realize we were already there”, but again we love appeasement.

    Russia isn’t even a federation, it’s a centralized autarchy with tightly controlled provinces that don’t have any actual autonomy.
