I think the phrase “Trump Derangement Syndrome” should be appropriated by democrats.
Because I’ll tell you what Trump derangement syndrome actually looks like.
Any image or video taken of the Capitol on January 6th.
Every image of a Trump supporter’s lawn plastered with his signs and slogans, their homes decorated with MAGA memorabilia. And of course the hats, the t shirts, the sweatshirts and hoodies, the Trump socks, the flags and pendants, the banners they wear around their necks like capes.
The pickup trucks and boats that are garishly decorated with Trump merchandise.
The bumper stickers, the tacky sneakers, the NFTs, digital collectibles and trading cards, the desecrated and overpriced, Lee Greenwood bibles made in China, the expensive watches, the Trump coins and commemorative medallions, the signed autographs, hell, even the Trump action figures and dolls.
How about the fact that Trump’s rallies resemble congregations, or how on that same note, his supporters literally liken him to a God, a prophet, their savior in chief.
How his supporters superimpose Trump’s image over biblical portraits of God and Jesus Christ.
The unsettling images stitched into flags and banners, or made into portraits of Trump posing as an action hero, shirtless and musclebound, carrying rifles in both of his hands, which he’s not physically capable of doing in the first place considering he can’t pick up a glass of water without using both hands, where he’s standing on top of a tank or striking a pose with a bald eagle…
Forget appearances for a second and think about how Donald Trump is perceived as some kind of martyr to these people, a holy man, God’s gift to this world, who is incapable of wrongdoing, incorruptible.
He’s the most persecuted man on the planet, unironically comparing himself to figures like Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Jesus Christ for Christ’s sake…
There’s no line he cannot cross, no action he cannot take, no lie he cannot tell.
Every indictment or investigation is a “witch hunt,” every effort to hold him accountable is some kind of systemic injustice. Yet any mention of racial injustice is “woke.”
Despite his constant misconduct, his criminal and corrupt behavior, it’s his enemies and political opponents who belong in jail.
He has exploited his wealth, power, and privilege throughout his entire life to game the justice system and avoid being incriminated, but it’s Democrats who are “weaponizing the justice system” against *him.*
He is *always* the victim. Think about how they have sane washed and normalized his absurd behavior and deteriorating mental health. How all criticisms of him are “fake news,” how all journalists are “cruel,” and “unfair” for not asking him softball questions.
How every former staff member who has spoken out against him is merely a “disgruntled” and vindictive liar, or “bad at their job.”
How despite the fact that he’s been held liable for and/or accused of sexual assaulting, harassing, or raping dozens of women, they’re only telling the truth when a democrat is accused of it
Or how Trump is the “law and order” candidate, despite being involved in over 4,000 legal cases and despite the evidence showing his penchant for obstruction of justice.
How he’s literally been indicted for defrauding the United States, for facilitating an attack on our Capitol, for intimidating state election officials in order to manipulate the vote for him, for attempting to disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans, for trying to install loyalists into positions of power within the DOJ to help him steal the election, and for conspiring to overturn the election himself. Yet, It’s Democrats who are stealing elections.
Think about how every election that Trump loses is rigged.
When Trump claimed the Emmys were rigged because the Apprentice didn’t win an award.
When Trump claimed that Obama’s win in 2012 was rigged.
When Ted Cruz won the Iowa primary In 2016, not only did Trump cry rigged, but he proceeded to hurl petty insults at his opponent.
Even when Trump won in 2016, he claimed the popular vote was rigged against him, and investigated it to no avail.
And like clockwork, he cried that the 2020 election was stolen from him.
Despite this obvious pattern of behavior, Trump’s supporters bought into the election fraud narrative, then tried to stage a violent coup in order to overturn the results, and at the clear behest of Trump.
Trump supporters clashed violently with police on that day, yet downplay the severity of what occurred, and outright deny Trump’s responsibility or involvement in any of it.
This is what Trump’s derangement syndrome actually looks like.
When Donald Trump can tell no lie and can do no wrong.
When his unconstitutional threats, his authoritarian whims and his anti-democratic rhetoric is dismissed by his followers.
When they dress from head to toe, and decorate their homes, their trucks and their lawns with Trump merchandise.
When they deny his unhinged and mentally unstable condition.
When they buy into every single one of his grifts.
When they compare him to a martyr, and always make him out to be the victim.
When they worship him, literally pray to him, lionize him and defend him to no end.
When his corruption goes overlooked, but his opponents are relentlessly accused of being criminals.
When Trump threatens to jail anyone who has ever hurt his precious feelings, it gets a round of applause. But any attempt to hold him accountable is equated with persecution.
Even though Trump is notorious for cheating on his wives, on his taxes, on his financial records, even at golf, it’s still Democrats who are the real cheaters.
Even though Trump has been indicted for nefariously and neglectfully mishandling classified documents, while lying to, deceiving, and misleading the DOJ and the National Archives for over a year, it’s Joe Biden who should be prosecuted for cooperating with these agencies.
When Trump mismanaged the covid pandemic at nearly every turn, him and his supporters still resorted to scapegoating others for his demonstrative failures
When Trump cozied up to autocrats and dictators around the globe, it was because he’s “not weak”
Despite Trump’s disastrous foreign and economic policy, the consequences of which extended into the next administration, it’s Joe Biden and Democrats who are responsible for every conceivable economic and global problem.
Despite Trump being the most divisive political figure in recent memory, despite all his incendiary rhetoric, his efforts to incite hatred and violence, to embolden right-wing extremist groups, Christian nationalists, xenophobes, conspiracy theorists and fanatics, despite his responsibility for inflaming the culture wars, even inciting racial tensions and civil unrest, despite all this, his supporters claim that “the left” is responsible for all of the “violent rhetoric,” and even figures like Barack Obama and other prominent Democrats are responsible for polarizing our country beyond repair.
His opponents and critics are the liars, *they’re* corrupt, they’re the criminals, they’re the narcissists, they’re the cheaters, they’re trying to undermine *him*, they’re responsible, they’re the failures.
*This* is TDS.
His presidency hasn’t even begun yet and I’m already sick of hearing about him. On top of that now we have to deal with Elonia. Please, I’m begging you- make it stop!

I hate that term so much. They say it as if there is no reason we hate him. We have plenty of reasons that are real.
I remember him sexually harassing people on the man show. Also his very egregious black face “entertainment”. I have no idea why anyone cares to hear this dude’s opinion on anything.
See, to me it’s the people who will set aside all of their supposed morals, principles and even their country for one completely flawed and amoral con man, that are “deranged”. The rest of us are operating normally.
