Washington Post editorial warns of potential Ukraine abandonment under Trump

1. Hmmm. Do think this could impact businesses and trade and security in Europe? Gee, why didn’t anyone warn us?

2. Here’s a hypothesis as to why Putin may be rushing to take more land and retake Kursk prior to Trump’s inauguration. (Related to the article, but not one that I believe has ever been explicitly stated in anything I’ve read.)

   In short: Putin now has his American puppet in power. He wants to do what he did during his puppet’s last presidency, flatter him and make him look good to the voters that enable said puppet. And so his goal is to urgently retake Kursk and maximize the Ukrainian land grab before Trump enter’s office because he plans to actually “agree” to the “deal” Trump (and his other ruZZian cronies in close collaboration with their sponsor, ruZZia) create.

   If done successfully and in a timely manner, that would mean Putin has taken back Kursk and grabbed a chunk of East Ukraine, in time to give Trump a personal and political success early on in the term and make him look like a half decent negotiator on the international political stage.

   First he’ll do is blame Zelensky for not accepting Putin’s terms, then he’ll erase the sanctions, and if Ukraine doesn’t capitulate then, he’ll start providing Russia with weapons.
   Trump has been groomed by the Russians since the eighties.

Under the USA “not abandonment” Ukraine lost own nukes, enormous quantities of weapons, 50% of economy an 7 in 2014 year, possibility to create MAD against Russia in 2014-2024 years, received 3 years of artificially unwinnable war only to so that start receive proposal of preservation of all this by selling USA own resources…

    Abandonment by the USA = freedom from the USA = possibility to finally say: “Budapest Memorandum, believe in International Law, believe in benign USA was wrong! NK, Iran, Russian is right because West itself say that WMD-countries cannot lose, and therefore in the 1990s set Ukraine to unwinnable battles. Which from now, at last, Ukrainians free to change.”

    USA do not want to be sheriff? Ok, at first it will be worse than no sheriff at all. But in the long run it would be much better for everyone who was protected by it in the past than unreliable sheriff that instead of fighting robbers… Control so that they do not steal too much and too quickly from unarmed citizens…
