NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte will visit Athens Tuesday for talks with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, Defense Minister Nikos Dendias and others.
The visit will follow a Monday stop in Ankara, where Rutte will meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and top officials.
In Turkey, Rutte is scheduled to engage with defense industry representatives and tour Turkish Aerospace Industries facilities.
This marks Rutte’s first regional tour since taking office in October. His agenda emphasizes NATO’s priorities amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean.
