  1. The problem with the DNC is they seem to have a mandate to always play by the rules and be polite, while their opponents have no problem doing the exact opposite. Being polite is not how you deal with assholes.

  2. I’ve gone through many stages of grief. Now I’m at the point of let the GOP shoot their own foot. I know we’ll all bleed but I’m sick of trying to explain to rural America that Obamacare helps them more and their rural hospitals than it befits the folks in suburbia.

  3. The GQP always claims that the Dem’s are the ones who are the rioters.

Yet they were the ones who turned on their own during the January 6th domestic terrorist attack because some of the less insane people in there party were going to certify the election.

Tell me how that behavior isn’t basically fascism.

  4. Anyone else thing it strange republicans complain about DEI and say the “most qualified” people should get hired, but then they hire people who are CLEARLY unqualified for roles?

  5. I feel like memes like this are designed to get the five remaining Weathermen jailed.

  6. The real problem is well-financed pervasive disinformation

  7. You overrate Trump’s ability to create chaos. He’s only capable ordinary chaos, not absolute chaos. But his cabinet picks certainly appear capable of additional serious chaos, but still not to the level of absolute chaos.

Me the next 4 years watching Trumps circus and policies

  9. The Democratic leadership seems to have this faith in the face of every rational or historical fact that the system the Republican party has been dismantling for decades will hold against a group of folks who have not been hiding at all their desire to finally drown America in a bathtub. They think that if they just alter that message a bit more to “the mid right” they can swing the elections two and four years from now that won’t be happening.

I mean it seemed like they finally got the clue that they were fighting fascists right toward the end of that last election, and then the minute they found out they lost…. let’s plan to win it back next time after the “peaceful transfer of power…” Going high after they go low again. I mean, I believed them when they said they were opposed to fascists and they knew the stakes. Were they lying then or are they lying now?

  10. I’ve been a progressively democratic American since I understood the constitution and how our government works. I feel no comfort in saying I feel as if my people, my party isn’t fighting for me as much as I have been fighting for all of us. I’m not a government official and I have no stake in our country other than I want equality and safety for my family. If our democratic republic cannot figure out how to properly prevent an actual CRIMINAL RACIST SOCIOPATH RAPIST from being “crowned” president then goddamn you for not fighting hard enough

  11. Seriously. It seems like ‘the people’ the ‘sheeple’ are cool with it!

  12. He hasn’t sighed the papers yet. Do rulers get to rule by not following the rules?

  13. Planning a TXit in the spring after 40+ yrs in this godawful red state. We wanted to wait and vote against our Reps, Chip Roy and Ted Cruz one more time … annoyed it didn’t help.

Anyway, coordinating with my federal employee daughter to visit VA late January/early February. She advised us to wait until February … “until the dust settles.” Not sure what that means but understand it is prudent to do so.

  14. Frankly, it feels really gross that we’re having a peaceful transfer of power to someone who very publicly did not give a peaceful transfer last time.

  15. After a chaotic transfer to relative peace, yes. This is the worst timeline.

  16. Yeah it’s almost as if those brand new shiny Presidential immunities granted to the executive by the Supreme Court would be incredibly useful in preventing a christo-fascist takeover of the US government… but that would mean Biden and the Dems *actually* view Trump as an existential threat to democracy.

So do Biden and the Dems not actually believe Trump is an existential threat to democracy (in which case they actively lied to the populace for the last 9+ years) or do they not care (which means they’re at best tacitly complicit)?

  17. Prices will go up and they will blame Biden. Even if it lasts 4 years. Then if a democrat is elected and fixed it, they will say “they inherited trumps good economy”

  18. “When a child gets behind the wheel of a car and runs into a tree, You don’t blame the child. He didn’t know any better. You blame the 30-year-old woman who got in the passenger seat and said, ‘Drive, kid. I trust you.‘“
