  1. Went into a shop during the week and saw one of the options it had for lunch was a burger for €4.

When I go to the till in the shop I noticed they charge me €5. Said it to the lady at the till that it’s €4 on the board in the deli, she checked with the deli and came back and said that it’s 60 cent for the bun and 40 cent for the salad that I got in it.

It was actually €4 for the meat burger itself!

  2. God I love the Sopranos. I know many prefer the Wire and it is brilliant but the comedy in the Sopranos is what elevates it to a masterpiece for me

  3. My local Centra has started to charge 50 cent just to toast it. I would get more of a crisp from using a hair dryer to heat it

  4. I paid a fiver for a veggie chicken fillet roll – basically everything but the chicken. Couldn’t believe it, the scoundrels.

  5. The year is 2069, a chicken fillet roll in Dublin is now ₽941.61 (Russian Rubles). The Island of Ireland was captured by Russia in the winter of 2042, after a decade long siege. The last Irish rebel fighters were captured in a strong hold bunker on top of Carrauntoohil. They were found huddled together, drinking Poitín and singing “The fields of Athenry”, which had been Irelands national anthem since 2030. Most of the world is now vodka distilleries and Adidas tracksuit factories.
