Russia and North Korea will host a biennial summer multisport event aimed at boosting humanitarian ties, Russia’s sports minister announced following a trip to Pyongyang, while his DPRK counterpart implied that the country will revive an international marathon suspended during the pandemic next year.
Mikhail Degtyarev held talks with his North Korean counterpart Kim Il Guk at the Mansudae Assembly Hall, where he proposed the launch of the Russia-DPRK Summer Games starting in 2025 featuring 10 different sporting events, the Russian minister wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday.
