Conflicts within the power of the people over the controversy over the “party bulletin board” eventually erupted at the Supreme Council. Han Dong-hoon, chairman of the People’s Power Party, who had been quiet so far, even made a rousing statement, saying, “It is an attempt to bring down the party leader.”

At the Supreme Council meeting held on the 25th, Han had a war of words with Kim Min, former member of the Supreme Council of People’s Power, who is classified as a pro-Yoon Seok-yeolgye. In the order of his remarks, Supreme Council member Kim said, “Some of the party officials, including the Supreme Council members, told the media that there was an ‘8 Donghun’, but why can’t we see it?” and raised the question, “Shouldn’t we share how we confirmed it?” The move is aimed at an explanation from a close ally that eight party members have the same name as Han. Supreme Council member Kim also said, “There was an article that if anyone in the party writes something like ‘Representative Han resigns’, they will file a complaint,” adding, “I have a lot of text messages asking me to resign, so please file a complaint with me.” Then, after turning on the microphone, Han said, “It would be nice to check the facts and tell them when you speak. No one is preparing such a complaint,” he countered.

The meeting was closed to the public due to the mediation of Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People’s Power Party, but it is said that there was a loud voice between the two factions even in private appearances.

After the meeting, Han appeared determined and criticized the situation in front of reporters for nearly 15 minutes. Representative Han said, “I have consistently refrained from commenting on the party’s self-inflicted issue because I thought it would not help the party, but I will tell you in detail because there is a trend to make this an issue as well.”

“Anonymous bulletin boards are spaces open to write anonymously, and you can criticize whether you are the president or the party leader,” he said. “It is an idea that a liberal democratic party cannot do and is absurd in itself.” He said, “The side related to Myung Tae-kyun and Kim Dae-nam seems to intend to cover up their issues.” Representative Han asked back, “Since Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, has been sentenced and I feel a little breathless, I think he will shake the party leader and drag him down now.”
