My sleep goal of 7.5 hours per night vs. how it’s been going the last 14 months [OC]

  1. Are the red dots missing data or missing sleep?

    Seems like a lot of literally sleepless nights in a short 3 week window.

  2. Habit is everything. When I went from late night bartending to construction it took me about a year to switch my sleep schedule. I’ll give myself one or two nights a month to stay up past 10:30. But any other day I’m in bed by 8:30 no screens, asleep by 9:30, if not then it’s a free for all when I go to bed.

  3. Best sleep advice I have gotten is wake up the same time every day and nap after lunch or before dinner if you need to make up sleep.

  4. its about rather strict routines, altho not fun (no social life), it is the bet in ways of sleep quality.

    go to bed at the same time, get up at the same time.

    i’m someone who can sleep and stay in bed a long time, causing me to stay up way to long that night. this shifts my sleeping routine a lot. so if i force myself to get up at a relative same time, it prevents me from staying up to long because i’m tired. also try to do some exercise every day for 30 min+.

    and, no caffeine past 3 o’clock. none at all if you can.
