  1. It’s funny seeing the people who are sharing the petition demonstrate they have no clue how the country actually works.

  2. It’s a protest I don’t think anyone actually expects it to happen.

  3. Probably a lot of the same people that said ‘no, you can’t have another vote on it just because you lost or some things turned out to untrue’ after Brexit are the ones clamouring for a new vote on the general election now.

  4. It only has some slight relevance if it was millions of Labour voters signing a petition.

It’s very unlikely that is the case, and therefore we can simply rename the petition “I still don’t want Kier Starmer as prime minister”

  5. That’s the spirit, Keir. Rather than defending yourself and coming out fighting you just say that you agree with people that want a new election.

  6. Conservatives spluttered billions of pounds up the wall for years, what did you expect to happen? This guy is making tough decisions and at least trying to save the economy

  7. It’s like people don’t understand what happens when you spend a load of money outside of your budget and then have to make that back over time…..

  8. Da comrade, I too am Engleeshman who wishes to see glorious Ru. .. Er Uk be run by glorious Premier Farage.

  9. It’s all the same fuckwits asking for a new GE that were saying “you lost get over it” after Brexit.

I guess they don’t like it when it’s ‘their guy’ that loses.

  10. I’d like to know why the incoming head of state of the United States and his Coward Lieutenant are trying to destabilise the government of one of its closest political and military allies?

  11. Not keen on redoing the election we’ll get a similar result until the toreformri party is formed… and the precedent it’ll set

If anything kier should recognise the shallow majority they received and spend the 5 years on fair electoral reform and bring in pr

  12. The same people who signed this useless petition will never understand how badly fucked our economy. We are in a weak trade position as a result of Brexit. We will be relying on Trumps charity when he imposes sweeping tariffs and there people will be scratching their heads or blaming Labour when things are more expensive. Infuriating really.

  13. I feel like the headline here is a bit inadequate. It reads like Starmer is agreeing with them that Labour have been a bit shit in office, when what he’s really saying is “yeah a bunch of people didn’t vote Labour and don’t like us, that’s to be expected when we have to deal with the mess of 14 years of Tory government”.

He’s not wrong that it’s really not news to say people who didn’t vote labour don’t like labour. Kinda no shit Sherlock when you put it like that isn’t it?

  14. Think the petition also got traction easily because these nutters look at the US election and seeing Trump win easily through the help of Elon Musk, they really think maybe Trump and Elon will try install Farage as PM

  15. 4 million reform cultists voted against Labour. 7 million tory voters voted against Labour.

And these dipshits think 2 million gets them a re-run?

Well we have now a list of the most stupid people in the UK.

  16. And I am not surprised they are going to fuck the economy up

  17. I would love to see a Venn diagram of the people that signed this petition and the people who said “brexit means brexit”

  18. The Tories refused to call on election on various occasions. Even after Liz Truss crashed the economy in a matter of days and had to resign. She was replacing Boris Johnson who resigned not long after party gate.

Labour have been disappointing but they haven’t been complete cancer.
