It is official: Spain will try to defend their crown at the 2025 EuroBasket. Sergio Scariolo’s team secured their spot in the continental championship with two victories over Slovakia in the November FIBA European Qualifiers Window.
The reigning champions are joined by six other national teams, including Israel, Turkey, Italy, and Slovenia, as well as Serbia and Lithuania, who were the first countries to advance to EuroBasket.
Therefore, the 11 participants for the upcoming European championship are now known, with the aforementioned seven teams joining the host countries Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia.

There are still 13 spots up for grabs, promising an exciting battle in the upcoming February FIBA window, with all unqualified teams still in the running.
The 2025 EuroBasket will be played from August 27th to September 14th, in Tampere (Finland), Limassol (Cyprus), Riga (Latvia), and Katowice (Poland).
