BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – The Village Family Service Center is making its Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program available virtually.
Regional Program Supervisor JoDee Knipfer in Fargo said the Center embraced telehealth fully during COVID, but once that wound down, they moved back to in-person services. Now, they’re providing a hybrid option. She said the program is meant for people who have acute mental health problems.
“If you think about mental health, it’s very isolating for that individual. They feel very alone, they feel very stuck, so if you can connect them with like-minded folks that are in similar situations— obviously different, but still similar— they can learn and grow from each other,” Knipfer said.
That program runs year-round, and patients typically complete it in eight to 12 weeks. Groups meet Monday through Friday for a total of 12 hours per week. Anyone in North Dakota or Minnesota is eligible to attend. You can call 701-451-4900 to schedule a free mental health screening.
