He was going around for 4 hours Friday evening wearing a jacket that looked like combat fatigues, shakily filming basically nothing… trying to get into the metro station and stopped by guards because don’t fucking film families when they’re sheltering for their lives and wondering if their homes will be there when they get out.
He hardly managed to say one coherent sentence on the entire video yesterday. It also sounded like walking about 100m made him out of breath. He may have a speech impediment based on the stammering and expressive language delay?
Yesterday he thought his Chinese and Russian roommates in the hostel were spies with no reasonable justification, today he’s suspected of being a spy himself, you couldn’t make it up. There is no way, with his demonstrated level of cognition, that he could possibly have communicated with Ukranians, or any other nationality for that matter. A pair of Germans told him “Deutsch” for their nationality yesterday and he walked away going “That Dutch guy was very unfriendly”.
I have no idea why he went outside, again, this time during curfew without even the most rudimentary command of the phrases needed to be able to explain himself. He’s acting like there’s a covid lockdown going on when there’s helicopters being shot out of the sky within a couple of km of him.
As other posters have mentioned, there’s a reason journalists don’t go around livestreaming war zones on YouTube; notwithstanding that there is a security risk (hence why the Ukranians asked “Assisting plane targeting?”), he clearly has no respect for the dignity of the people involved and is just there for the spectacle.
Why members of his family aren’t attempting to get him home for his own safety is the real tragedy, because this person is very soon going to put himself in a position where he will killed due to his own stupidity. He needs to get to the Polish border tomorrow or I reckon he’s in big trouble.
They’re busy defending their country against one of the world’s largest militaries and this gobshite is out with his camera to get a few likes.
Disgrace should be ashamed of himself, or better still, picking up a gun and doing something useful.

This makes me so fucking mad. This plonker is just getting in the way. My wife and I left our home in Ukraine when we were told to do so for this very reason. Not to be in the way!
