  1. Though great news, as mentioned in the article, the real challenging hurdle is achieving mass adoption by corporations. Traditional plastics are too cheap. It will be, unfortunately, near impossible to convince profit hungry conglomerates to switch to a more expensive version.

  2. The real question is, will the coming change ocean salinity/chemistry affect the decomposition rate? Or are we just going to see gelatinous puddles of partially melted bottles floating on the surface?
